As Promised...A Video

It only took a few weeks to get around to it, but here it is: Zoë in all her babbling-dancing-fingerwaving-blinking-pigtail cuteness!

The Silliest - 16 Months

Zoë helped mommy make cookies, and my-oh-my,
is she one sneaky cookie dough thief!
Zoë is a comedian. Month 16 has been filled with so much laughter - some of it out loud, and other times silent as Zac and I are quietly trying to contain ourselves. You know, so that she doesn't think we are laughing at her...we're just laughing at her on the inside. But truly, she is hilarious! Whether it be her comical, expressive talking on the cell phone as she walks around with a phone to her ear, or her coming out with an outfit around her head/neck/face to give us a fashion show, or discovering how to tickle mommy and daddy on the tummy and then asking us to be tickled by her again and again and again.

Playing with rocks at Horsetail Falls with Lola. She LOVES rocks.
And picks up rocks to bring home to her collection anytime we go outside.

Zoë's laughter is beautiful, hysterical and contagious. What a gift of joy she is! Some other cute and funny things she has started to do: dance in circles until she gets too dizzy to stand, play in her crib or the bathtub and refuse to get out (she is having too much fun!), stand by our front door and try to unlock it with the keys, turn on the shower head and dance in the rain during bathtime, fill her toy shopping cart with toys and clothes and push it around the house, and ask for Goodnight Moon before nap or bedtime every night (and makes sure mommy doesn't forget it!).

Check out this mustache! She's just trying to look like daddy :)

"How do you like my hat, mommy?" :)

Zoë's "jumping" on the bridge. At this point, her jumps are missing the
feet-leaving-the-ground part, but she has the rest of it down pat.

"So big!"
16 months down and heading toward a year and a half - whew! We have some fun video to share with you all when we get around to it (hopefully soon), so you can all laugh along with us!

Thank Goodness for Didi

We had an impromtu, or rather, emergency visit from Didi this past week. After the interstate incident that totaled our poor van, Didi and Papa graciously decided to give us their van and Didi drove it alllllll the way out from Sioux City, Iowa to Portland, Oregon. By herself. And then she proceeded to spoil us with love and shopping trips and delicious food. What would we do without her? :)

In return, Didi got an extra visit to see Zoë (she already had tickets to fly here in October before all this happened), and Zoë thoroughly enjoyed having her around. Isn't that the most adorable picture? Zoë is actually giving her a real kiss - usually her kisses involve an open mouth and possible biting.

Thanks Didi (and Papa :) for being so wonderful, for loving us and for taking care of our little family!
