Last Days of Fall

It's been a crazy fall. Between working extra hours at church, Zac applying for PhD programs and taking the GRE, birthdays, lice (ugh) AND another little peanut on the way (yay!), we have had our hands full! Before we let the season slip away, we had to have a little fall fun together as a family with Uncle Corby, Aunt Mary and their baby on-the-way. :)

Our full morning began with a trip to two pumpkin patches, Baggenstos' Farm and Grandma's Farm in Sherwood, where Zoë enjoyed digging for potatoes, playing in tractor tires, crawling through huge tubes, playing hide-n-seek in the hay maze, and going on a tractor hay ride.

 

We had so much fun playing in the maze! It was a family favorite. :)

LOL! That sheep's expression is priceless. :p

Of course, we also enjoyed some delicious kettle corn and carmel corn. Yum! Corby showed off his skills in pumpkin bowling and shooting off a pumpkin in a trebuchet. 

Zoë LOVED the popcorn...and didn't want to give it back. :)

After our pumpkin fun, we found a nearby apple orchard and scoured the trees for the last of the crop. Zoë thoroughly enjoyed carrying her bucket, climbing the ladder and picking (and eating!) her very own apples.

In this season of our lives, it is a rare thing to be together as a family. What a delightful way to spend a morning together! Thanks Corby and Mary for a memorable adventure!
