For our 4th of July celebration, we enjoyed a day with LOTS of family: Auntie Sheron, Uncle Dan and cousins Adon, Anna, Michaela and Zach, along with Auntie Nancy, Oma and Opa, Uncle Judah, and Sheron's sisters (with their families) and parents who graciously invited us to their home for a delicious BBQ!
My little star-lover :) She finds stars everywhere - on toys, in books, on shirts and hats. So I got together some puffy paint and made her this shirt for the occasion. Zoë loved it!
Starting the day out at the Mollala 4th of July parade
My cousin Zach led the parade with the color guard
(He's the one that towers over the rest)
Watching the horses with Auntie Nancy
Cousin Adon was up front to get the candy
He ate it all before lunchtime. :o
The gang gathering for grace at the Wegener's home in Sweet Home, Oregon.
Steak, salmon, potato salad with blackberry cobbler and my own strawberry rhubarb pie for dessert.
Oh my goodness, it was delicious!
A future badminton player?
Zoë hung out with cousin Anna all afternoon!
Adon being his crazy self :)
We are grateful to live in a country where we have so much freedom we take it for granted, so much peace we have not had to come face to face with war, and though we falter as a nation to completely live out "In God we Trust," God has graced us with his presence and favor in our midst.
Happy Independence Day!
